The Alzheimer’s Services Center is an Adult Day Care facility that services clients suffering from the debilitating effects of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. We offer affordable adult day services to clients regardless of age, race, religion, national origin, gender identity or income.
The Alzheimer’s Services Center was organized by its’ founder, the late Mrs. Janice A. Coye. Mrs. Coye started operations in a three room building in 1990. After relocating to several other facilities, soliciting support by way of donations, land, state and federal grants, she was able to realize her dream and made the final move into a newly constructed 12,000 square foot building in June 2010. The new Center has three separate activity rooms, a barber and beauty salon, a separate, fully equipped kitchen for the clients to use, an enclosed courtyard with benches, a beautiful fountain, and an outside walking trail. The new Center has afforded us the opportunity to provide additional and requested services. One such service is weekend respite. Weekend respite is now offered one weekend every other month at highly reduced costs. We have continued on our mission to research and implement new techniques and procedures when caring for the Alzheimer’s client. Our founder paved a detailed path for us to travel in our quest for providing the best possible service to our clients, caregivers and friends. Under the leadership of our current and new Executive Director, Sylvia Dennis-Wray, we are now building on that path and offering additional models and beneficial methods of care.
